Projekt Smålandsdräll summerades i helgen ...

Handvävare i Jönköpings län har jobbat med det ca ett halvår, och har varit effektiva måste jag säga.

I helgen invigdes vår utställning på Vetlanda museum högtidligen av Pelle Nävers sonson Per-Olof Högstedt inför ett sextiotal besökare, däribland Tina och Bengt Arne Ignell från tidningen Väv .... stort ...

Många fina välgjorda vävnader har det blivit, alltifrån ullfiltar och mattor till väskor och kläder i fin kvalitet. Allt i smålandsdräll.

Och när vi nu ändå var i farten, blev det en bok också ... med historik kring tekniken och bilder och vävsedlar till 38 olika vävnader. Väldigt roligt eftersom smålandsdräll är en lite bortglömd teknik, som nu aktualiseras igen.

Vår styrelse har utfört ett enormt arbete med att sätta samman bok och utställning och vi medlemmar har bidragit med vävnader. Fantastiskt roligt och inspirerande har det varit, och fantastiskt roligt är det att se resultatet.
